There are two different underground rivers in Xcaret where you can swim, snorkel and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere. To swim in these fresh water rivers is a truly unique experience you simply have to try. The gentle currents of these two underground rivers will take you for more than one kilometer, discovering along the way ancient Mayan sinkholes, magical caves, rock formations and marine fossils.
At the main entrance of each river you will be provided with life jackets and bags with a lock for your personal belongings, which will be waiting for you at the end of the adventure. There are multiple exits and places where you can rest along the rivers, in case you would like to stop or explore something. It's even suitable for people who don't know how to swim.
