If you wish to see the crocodiles of the Riviera Maya, then you can see lots at Xcaret. This ecological park has the Moreletti type of crocodile, in various sizes and ages. Some of them measure over 3 meters long. You will be able to see them swimming or just laying in the sun.
Due to their slow metabolism and cold blood they need to regulate their body temperature by sunbathing or occasionally swimming. They are also fast hunters, capable of vertically jumping the full length of their bodies into the air.
