As you walk around Xcaret, you will find a lot of exhibitions of animals in their natural habitat. Shy and beautiful, the white tail deer will greet you and the species called temazate is a delightful creature to watch.
There are many other local animals, such as the coati, tejones (badgers) and spider monkeys that all live on their own islands. If you watch carefully you will be able to see a whole family of saraguato monkeys, jumping freely on top of the trees.
