After walking on paths surrounded by jungle, rocks and caves, you will arrive at the entrance of two cenotes, the Paradise Cenote and the Adventure Cenote.
The cenotes are the emerging points of underground water and there are three different types. Xel-Ha has one of them, called the ''watering type'' and its crystalline waters come from underground streams which have false bottoms and a weak vertical circulation of water. This type of cenote allows the growth of a wide diversity of flora such as orchids and palm trees, as well as fruit trees, such as the one called Chicle (bubble gum), known about since pre-Hispanic times.
