Xel-Ha's Inlet was probably formed about 5 million years ago when the ceiling of an underground river collapsed. Without a doubt the most representative image of Xel-Ha, due to its beauty, is this cove.
This cove is one of the most exciting places that you can visit during your time at Xel-Ha. You can chose between letting yourself be carried by the currents on a floating tire, or exploring the submarine world with your snorkeling equipment, you will also find so many other wondrous things to see! The Xel-Ha River flows into Xel-Ha's Inlet and it is surrounded by docks and small beaches which are ideal places for sun tanning and relaxing.
Once at the beautiful Xel-Ha lagoon, you can visit The Mayan Cave, the Bay of Whims, Ixchel's Grotto, El Dorado's Grotto, as well as many other wonderful places full of stunning flora and fauna.
