Following the tradition of hosting international events, the Riviera Maya invites you to the Third Annual Jazz Festival that will take place this year from November 17th to November 19th, and brings once more some of the most recognized jazz singers and musicians to this destination. This event is part of a varied calendar of cultural and musical events that the Riviera Maya wants to offer in this paradise and will provide an enriching and entertaining experience for visitors and locals alike.

This year, we are proud to present two of the best voices of the national jazz scene, Iraida Noriega and Magos Herrera. They will share the stage on Thursday, November 17th in the central park, in front of Playa del Carmen's town hall, to offer us a show of amazing vocals. Open to the public in general, the musical genius of Iraida and Magos will be a welcome sound to our ears as well as our hearts. The same day, Manelo will give a rendition of the best local Latin jazz with a new and different proposal. Aguamala, Playa del Carmen's own local favorite, will also perform on Thursday with their original musical style that mixes jazz with rock.

On Friday, November 18th, a spectacular show to remember will take place at the Royal Porto Real Hotel, located in Playa del Carmen, which reports that the tickets are on sale at the Concierge's office, cost 500 pesos and include open bar and hors d'oeuvres. That day, Magos Herrera and Iraida Noriega will join Elizabeth Meza, a great Mexican singer of international fame in the jazz industry, to present a powerful combination of the best voices in Mexican jazz, with the appearance also of excellent Mexican musicians like Enrique Neri and Cristobal Lopez. As a special guest, we will have the presence of Cecilia Toussaint who will perform with her brothers.

On Saturday, November 19th, the Riviera Maya Jazz Festival will offer at Mamitas Beach, free of charge, the headliners of this fabulous jazz show: the band "Mint Condition" from Minneapolis and the Brazilian jazz legend, Ivan Lins. Mint Condition combines elements from rhythm and blues, hip-hop and jazz to create one of the most original sounds of the moment, awarding them the top places on the Billboard list several times. They are here to present their latest CD "Livin' the Luxury Brown".

The cherry of the cake is the presence and performance of the extraordinary Ivan Lins, a Grammy award winner who, together with Caetano Veloso, is perhaps the best Brazilian composer since Antonio Carlos Jobim. He has written songs for well-known artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Quincy Jones, Sarah Vaughan, Chucho Valdes, Betty Carter, Nancy Wilson, Kenny Burrell, Toots Thielemans, Manhattan Transfer and George Benson, among others. Jazz lovers and connoisseurs, as well as the public in general, will feel the joy and the emotion of listening to his bossa nova sounds, his beautiful harmonies and romantic rhythms. Ivan Lins will also perform with Enrique, Eugenio y Fernando Toussaint, members of Sacbe, one of the most important jazz bands in Mexico.

The Third Riviera Maya Jazz Festival will showcase impressive talent displayed by highly recognized international artists in strikingly beautiful natural scenery. Over the course of three days the greatest voices of jazz will harmonize with the Mexican Caribbean palms, turning this festival into an invitation for locals and visitors to discover the wonders of this wonderful destination of utmost paradise.
