Nightlife in Holbox Mexico

Nightlife in Holbox

After nightfall, inhabitants of Holbox Island come out to enjoy the town and to walk by the main square to chit-chat with their friends and acquaintances. Even though Holbox discotheques are non-existent, Holbox nightlife is enigmatic and it is concentrated in the main square. Surrounding it, you find a few restaurant-bars where you can enjoy your favorite meal while having a great time with your friends sipping the drinks of your choice in a lovely ambience. Barba Blanca

Barba Blanca in Holbox This is, without a doubt, the most popular place to go dancing on Holbox Island. As the most visited Holbox nightclub, here you find locals, tourists and resident foreigners all having a great time, producing a fabulous and unique party atmosphere. This hip bar is located right in front of the Central Plaza in Holbox, on the upper level of a two-story building and features a nice balcony. From this balcony, you can contemplate the town's heart, with its traditional church, nice restaurants, a few handicraft stands and of course, the unique ambience created by locals gathered in the plaza.

On the inside, you find the stage where local musicians come and play, pumping up the mood and making everybody dance to their rhythms.

Cariocas

Cariocas bar in Holbox Located right by the beach, Cariocas features ample facilities, including an outdoor section and an indoor section where the DJ is found. Cariocas is a rustic, uncomplicated, yet very lively place. It has a bar, tables, dance floor and a big screen to watch the latest music videos. Cariocas is the place where people meet to chat, spend a nice time and have fun by night.
