This unique experience begins early in the morning in Merida, where you'll travel the roads of the Yucatan forests and see their lush, natural beauty. You will stop at a location that is between the archaeological sites of Xlapak and Labna, where you'll visit classic Mayan houses and sample a traditional chocolate drink.
Here you will find the Ecomuseo del Cacao, which displays the history and traditions associated with the fruit that was considered the "food of the gods". You will have the chance to learn about the characteristics and legends of this fruit as well as the ancient tools used for harvesting and processing.
It will then be time to go to Mani, a place of great historical and cultural importance. You'll have the opportunity to eat authentic Yucatecan food in a restaurant that is truly representative of this place. At the end of your meal, you will visit the ruins of Mayapan, a walled Mayan city that is a replica of Chichen Itza.
