The Flavors of Cancun
Cancun is known for its excellent restaurants and delicious food. With a wide variety of dining options--from authentic Mexican and Italian to French (just to name a few)--there’s never a shortage of places to enjoy a good meal. The sweet aromas, rich flavors, fresh ingredients, and colorful entrees will whet your appetite and indulge your senses as you make your way through the Hotel Zone.
For a fancy night out in Cancun be sure to make a reservation at one (or all) of these fine dining restaurants.
Expect the unexpected at Restaurante Benazuza. Your experience begins with an invitation to the bar, where you’ll be offered to try cocktails that look like a concoction out of a chemistry lab. From there, you’ll be seated for the main course, but don’t try to look for the menu--there isn’t one. Instead, there will be prefixed set of courses selected by world famous Chef, Rafael Zafra, for you to enjoy.
The chef uses a “molecular gastronomy” cuisine style, which sounds like something out of a sci fi novel--but the warm and inviting experience is anything but. The spectacular fusion of flavors, textures, and sensations will bring your senses to life with every bite.
The restaurant is located at the Oasis Sens in Cancun’s Hotel Zone, so you won’t have to go far for this other world experience.
Lorenzillo's is a staple in Cancun, and has been acclaimed on both a local and international level. With the restaurants locally owned lobster farm, it’s no surprise that they’re known for serving the best lobster in town. This place is truly a seafood lover’s dream, but if lobster and seafood aren’t your thing, they do offer a few other menu options.
The restaurant is located right in the Hotel Zone, so you can easily head back to your room for a nap after filling up on delicious food.
Casa Rolandi--a Five-Star Diamond Award recipient--has earned its stars and then some. This restaurant’s Italian cuisine is a mouthwatering delight, offering generous portions of pasta, seafood, and steak entrees. The restaurant’s Mediterranean theme weaves majestic views of the Caribbean with tropical plants and soft lighting to create a romantic ambiance that will sweep you off your feet.
Want to relax, kick back, and grab a bite to eat? Then skip the high heels and tie and hang out with the locals.
El Fish Fritanga
If you’re in the mood for seafood, check out El Fish Fritanga--a favorite among locals. Try the mouthwatering Pescadillas, or bring your own catch to be prepared by the chef. Either way, this place is really low key, so simply lay back with your toes in the sand and gaze into the blue lagoon until your belly is full of good food.
The Surfin Burrito
If you have a craving for good Mexican at odd hours of the day or night, stop by The Surfin Burrito--it’s open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. From traditional nachos, tacos, and quesadillas to BBQ ribs, burgers, and chicken--this place cooks delicious food for every palette. There’s also a full bar (that’s open all day), stocked with beer and cocktails, if you feel like having a drink with your meal.
